Right. Bilstien makes shocks that will work for the 6 inch lift and you can't get any better than that.

Okay thank you ugys so much. Right now i bought the lift from national tire and wheel for 1400. That saved me about 500 bucks!! Great Deal. Then i am going to order Pro Comp 35's with the buy 3 get 1 free special. I am going to be getting 305/12.50? Is that the correct size to get?? Then once i get the rims i will eventually in the next few months regear and possibly get new shocks. Is it really necessary to get new shocks? Im not going to be doing any offroading just daily driving to school and hockey and etc

I belive Most Kits come with new shock's and if they dont why not put them on? you will end up doing it eventually anyway

Nothing like getting pumped on to do some work on the truck....SWEET

Yes...new shocks with a lift kit (except a body lift) are necessary...not a recommendation...necesary. Stock shocks will be too short. Your shock will fully extend before the suspension gets to the end of its travel. It will either prevent further travel or break...then you need new shocks anyways. I would also say it's possible with a lift, that the stock shocks could reach that point during some daily driving and not necessairily require extreme lean angles or off road driving to do so.

Are the Bilsteins for a 6" lift 5100's?? Are they specific shocks for the truck or do you pick a universal shock that will work?? I saw the 5100 for a 4" lift and their HD shock for no lifted application. This was in the Bilstein catalog???
