I would like raise the rear of my truck about another 2-3". Theres a place here that did my friends super duty, they did A leaf on both sides and new U-bolts, for $300 otd. I could just order bigger block, but would it be safer to get AAL's? I dont do too much towing, just a few times a year. Right now I have the Fabtech 4" block, is a 6" block too much?

 

You can't add block without getting longer u blots, the add a leaf would stiffen up your suspension a little for more towing capability. Its all what u want, more lift with stock ride= Blocks, more lift with more tow ability= add a leaf

i bought a set of pro comp aal's cause i wanted to sky my 37's and never ended up putting them on. ive heard bad things about bigger blocks. like more axle wrap and what not.

i have an aal on my 04 and it is stiffer but it aint bad. i would do the aal though. a 6" block is pushing it.

 

get a new block and u bolts!!! i hate AAL!!! imo
