Anyone PowerStep?

Anyone with lifted trucks have Powersteps? Is it worth the $$, thinking about getting a pair. I have a 5 foot wife and fat friends who have problems getting their legs up. I would have the look with no side steps, but still be able to use them when the doors open.

I dont have one but my buddy does on his duramaxx. I think he's got about 6" lift with 35's. It's definetly a nice thing to have.

Just get one for the pass. side.

Tell the wife you spent the money to make her life a little easier.

Spend the money you'll save from having to buy two and put the money toward some coilovers so you can get rid of those two spacers.

$$$

The manager at the shop I go to has them on his Dodge with 8" lift and they work great. They are built like a tank, and don't ruin the "lines" of the truck. But for me it came down to money because they are $1500. I had to choose between power steps or gears. I chose gears and bought the N-Fab stuff because I don't like nerf bars and don't like the single steps. The NFab is more like a rocker panel with a built-in drop down step. Go Rhino makes 'em too, in Al, so that would be even better than steel.

Any chance your "fat friends" might read this and won't be over any more?

Here's a pick of the N-Fab bars/step combo:

I didn't get them because a buddy had them and broke two sets in about 2 years. I've got the N-Fabs and I love them!

I have them on my truck and love them, especially since I have the 8" Rize. Those steps are only sold in pairs by the way.

I'd say it depends on how much off-roading you do-they get full of mud quite easily and then the motor isn't strong enough to raise them all the way up..nothing like driving around with a couple of half retracted power step ups. They're more for city folk... adding in an off switch so that you don't use them while you're out mudding might help.

I have them, and would highly recommend them, very sturdy! And of High Quality Material! I have some pics in my gallery.

ThumperMX113, you must have some heavy *** friend! These things are rated at 800lbs.

Nope, about 170 lbs. The motors fried, I don't know what else to say.

Why didn't he just buy a replacement motor? Instead of another set.

I never said he bought two steps, he had two steps.

He ended up returning the steps and they sent him new ones but they did the same thing. He ended up just getting a full refund minus shipping fees and bought some regular nerf bars.
