Spare tire

They other day i wanted to jack up my truck. So, I pulled out my jack and went to work. I soon found out that the jack is no longer big enough for my 6" lift. That got me thinking about my spare. I run 35's.Is my spare still usable? Or, am i better off getting rid of it and the added weight. Also, if i were to get rid of it would it be a good idea to go down to the auto store and buy a couple inflate a flat cans?

I carry a block of wood. Yes you can still run the spare with your LS. Just drive to a tire shop with it ASAP!!! And I would say no to the inflate cans, I dont like the mess they make inside the tire....

Leave the spare at home unless you are offroading. And get AAA with free towing for when you aren't

Does anybody know how much if any damage could be caused by riding on the stock spare to the nearest shop? Anybody know were to get a jack that will have enough lift to work with my 6" lift?

well put it this way, your spider gears are going to hate you. Running different size tires are going to make the spider gears spin really fast inside the rear end. A short trip to the tire store isnt going to hurt them, but long term driving wouldn't be good. And fix-a-flat type products will rust the inside of your wheels.

Put your spare on the front and your front tire on the rear if you are worried about messing up your rear differential. Don't use 4x4 and be prepared for strange braking but it will get you to a shop.

Just put the smaller spare in the front and leave it in 2WD. It pretty much just like using a "donut" spare on a smaller car.
