4x4 height vs 4x2

Would a 4" Rancho lift on an '06 4x4 end up being the same height as a 6" lift on an '06 4x2?

No, because the stock height of a 4x2 is lower than the stock height of the 4x4 so it 4 inches off of that stock height. So when u put the 4 inch lift kit on the 4x2 its still goin to be allittle shorter than the truck with the 4x4 if that makes sense.

Yes they should be pretty close to the same height. a 4x4 is about 2 inches taller than a 4x2. 4 inch on a 4x4 plus the two inches it already had equals six. A six inch on a 4x2 would be the exact same height or close to it

Well if the 4" and 6" kits both provided a true 4" and 6" of lift then yes, but I think I remember some of the Rancho owners posting that their 4" lift actually lifted the truck 5" or so. If that's true then the 4" Rancho 4X4 would be slightly higher than the 6" 4X2.

Talking

Yeah isn't the factory height difference in the front coil springs...

Cause if I remeber correctly you can put the 4x4 springs on a 2wd and it will sit like a factory 4x4, so in that theory these lift kit manufacturers are NOT going to make a 4x4 coil for the 4x kits and a 2wd coil for the 2x kits...

Every thing should be the same other than the drop down brackets, shocks, and some other brackets but not the spring...

Somone correct me if I'm wrong...

What measurment are you talking about? I believe there's a 0.5" difference in ground clearance between the two, but that doesn't have a whole lot to do with the vehicle body height. The 0.5" in ground clearance is from the 1" larger tires for those comparison vehicles.

cant be true. the back has a 2 inch block on a 4x4 and the 4x2 has no block. Unless they changed something on the 07's
