3 inch body lift?

i was thinking about putting a 3 inch body lift on my 2002 f-150 supercrew 2x4,so i can put some 33s on it. I was wondering if 33's would fit, and how hard is the body lift kit to install? thanks guys

yes. But it will depend on your rim choice/size. and body lifts are pretty easy to install if you know what your doing. But Im told it takes 2-3 days with a crew of guys. If you want it prof. done then i have seen installation prices from 500-1000 depending on your area

Actually if i were u i would get a 3.5 inch spindle suspension lift for your truck. You can get a doestch tech spindle system for about 300-400 bucks. I had this system on my last truck, a 2001 screw 2wd. Very easy to install! can be done in hours and its all suspension and 1/2 more inch! cant beat that!

so on the topic of body lifts, I just talked with my cousin, who strongly recommended me against doing a body lift. He said that they can shift and look wierd and arent safe if there is an accident that it can throw everything off and if you want to put stuff in the bed, there isn't much support for it on the bed. What do you guys think about this? Cause i'm pretty sure i want a body lift, but now I dont know. I talked to another guy that said if installed properly, then i should have no problems at all. Another thing he said is that if I put 35's on that it would be too hard on the truck. I have a 4x2 with a 4.2L. If i regear do you think that will be a problem or should i just go with 33's. (Deep inside i want 35's hehe) So my cousing recommended lift spindles instead, but i don't think i could fit 35's cause if they are 3.5 there is that extra 2 inches that they would level it out, really only giving 1.5 inches of lift. and spindles push the tire out a little, so do you think it would be out too far. I wanna go with 325/65/r18 nitto terra grapplers and Helo Maxx 6 in 18's?

Thanks

Your cousing gave you some misinformation. I'm on my third truck with a body lift and I've never had a problem. If you want 35's, I'd suggest the body lift and lift spindles. Also, you will have to regear your truck or it will be a total slug with 35's.
