Lift Stacking??
Lift Stacking??
I have been wanting to run 37's on my 04 F150 without having to drop 3g's on an 8" kit. I already have a 6" ProComp with 35" BFG A/T's and I have seen pics of trucks that are running 37's with a 6" kit but they added a coil spacer and an add-a-leaf in the rear. Does anyone think this would just cause problems in the long run or would it work good? I cant put a body lift on cause I have a grille guard. Does anyone have any pics?
If you have the 6" spacer for your front lift, No you should NOT stack spacers.
You can get coilovers sometimes for about $700 if you wait on a good deal for some lightly used ones. You can add 2" off additional lift with with coilovers.
With the correct backspacing and tire/rim size 37's should be fine with some minor trimming.

While I don't like body lifts personally, that would be the best way to make 37s fit nicely. I have a 6" SkyJacker with 37s and they do rub, even after modifying the body seam at the back of the wheelwell.
They kit manufacturers will void your warranty if you stack in a spacer, guys do it, but it is not recommended by the engineers that design the kits - ask yourself what a guy on the internet knows better than the kit designer, then answer your own question. Now somebody will probably jump in with the "I did it and it's fine...", BUT, do you trust him more than the trained engineers and their test programs?

bilstein makes a leveling shock for our trucks,it works by adjusting the shock seat and you get from 0-2" of lift from them,it would work way better than stacking spacers, but if you want to stack spacers go with daystar cuz its plastic its better than stacking metal on metal.i'd go with the bilsteins instead of a body lift, they cost a to much for what they are and are a bitch to install yourself.
