Question 2006 STX 2wd ques.

Ok.. Trying to draw on the vast pool of knowledge here.. I have an 06 STX SCAB 2wd. I would like to fit a set of 20's with tire size 275-55-20. I am pretty sure that I will have to do a 2.5in Front end levelling kit. I guess my other question is.. What AAL can I use to give the truck the clearance I need? Is there a specific lift I need in the back to clear those tires? Or would the trucks rear end ride be sufficient? If I am off base please let me know.. I am currently running stock tires 255/65/17.. Thanks in advance..

A friend of mine has 22's on his 06 quad cab. He didnt have to use any spacers or a leveling kit either. It clears fine and not rubbing.

scab is a supercab and screw would be a supercrew.

My 4x2 came stock with 275/55/20's, you shouldn't have to do anything to your suspension to fit those tires.

Here's my 2006 STX with 275/55/20's. Plenty of room, actually a little to much room in the rear for me, but no rubbing in the front fully turned. Inches to spare. Stock suspension.

Are you going with an off road tire or a street tire?

I was thinking about Pirelli Scorpion ATRs. Not as aggressive as an MT but moreso than a regular street tire..

I'd go with a 305/55-20 (33x12.50) tire and a leveling kit personally. Also, look at the Nitto Terra Grapplers, Toyo AT's and the BFG AT KO's. I've just heard a couple of negative comments on the Pirelli ATR's.

Thaks for the responses.. I especially appreciate the opinions on the tires.. TireRack.com had the Pirellis rated very high. I will have to explore more of these options..
