Bilsteins or Rancho

I need new shocks bad and was wondering which set you guys think is the best for my truck. I have a 2003 King Ranch SCrew 4WD with 93,000 miles. The sets that I am looking at are the Bilstein 5100 or the Rancho RSX. Another question I have is will I need to get an alignment after install? Right now the truck drives straight. I can let go of the wheel for about 15-20 sec before she drifts while driving on the highway. Most of my driving is done on the interstate.

Just thought I would get some ideas from you guys before I purchased.

Thanks,

Will

Well , I can't speak for the Rancho's - but the Bilsteins are awesome . They handle a rough road as if the truck were new - actually , better than new. Very Impressed and happy with these.

Great price as well $259 @ an eBay store.. Well , I thought it was a good price anyway

THe shocks have no affect at all on the alignment.

Bilsteins for sure - Not sure about the alignment, I don't think it's needed though. Someone else will verify that.

The shocks SHOULD NOT effect the alignment. . BUT I have seen cases where aftermarket shocks were longer or shorter than the factory ones or vice-versa which would cause a need for an alignment.

i like my rancho 9000's but i'd say the billstein's would be better for more on road driving. my truck rarely sees pavement now so i need more off road performance

I've had both and there is no comparason - the B's hands down. As others have said, no alignment should be required.
