helper springs?
helper springs?
I have a 02 4x4 F-150 reg. cab. I was wondering if I should put helper springs in (What is a good brand), or put another leafspring in. I do carry heavy load once in a while, but not every day. I also dont want the back of the truck sticking way up in the air when its empty. thanks Joe
Joe, I put a pair of Super Springs on my truck and couldn't be happier. They work on a shackle and roller system allowing them to only come into play when they are loaded by hauling or towing. I installed them myself in the driveway. Hope this helps! Gary
Joe, I've got to second what raynik said. I added SuperSprings to my truck and they work great! Extremely easy to install and they have 2 levels of adjustment on each shackle: at the lower level they don't engage at all until you have a load and the on the upper level it will actually give you up to 1.5" (atleast on my truck) of additional height in the back. I've been very happy with mine and you don't have to shim or adjust the angle of the rear-end since this go right over your existing leaf springs. Absolutely no change to the ride.
