Need some help with ball joints

Hi everyone, this is my first thread on this forum. I have 98 f-150 witha 7" suspension lift and 3" body lift.

My problem is that I have to replace the upper and lower ball joints , but I have a Fab-tech lift kit on it. I don't know what part I need to get to replace the ball joints. Sense I have a Fab-tech lift kit do I need to purchase ball joints from fab-tech or would factory ball joints work. I know the factory ones suck, and I have read that moog ball joints work better.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I'm not positive, but I don't think the 4x4 Fabtech lift comes with new control arms. I believe the 4x2 kit did. If you have Fabtech control arms you probably need to get ball joints from them.

my factory ball jpoints lasted 145,000 so i would say they're pretty good. moog is *****. i replaced all my tie rod ends and idler arm with moog parts from oreilly's and 10,000 miles later they are all completely worn out again. regardless of the fact the i've done quite a bit of roading since then that's still pretty sorry. that's the 2nd set of all that i've put on it cause they have a lifetime warranty. i put factory ball joints in it when i replaced them at the same time.

Contact Fabtech and ask them what upper ball joints you need.

Thanks, I think that the lower ball joints are the oem ones and the upper were the ones from fabtech. I will send them an e-mail thanks.
