superlift

Has anybody have a opinon on the superlift 6inch lift for 06 fx4? I like the looks of the skid plate? I dont do any offroading, but i do want to upgrade to coil overs. I currently have a ready lift with 33 toyo mts and want to eventualy upgrade to 35 or perfably 37s but realy dont want to pay for the cst lift. So I was wonder if I do coilovers and a small leveling kit ans an add a leaf to run 37?

You can never really go wrong with Superlift. There's a reason why they are the number 1 lift kit company around. Granted they have lifts for about every vehicle imaginable helps. I haven't installed one but took a look at the kit shot and it appears similar to Fabtechs but in the picture it didn't show impact struts or crossmember brace so I'd check that out and if it doesn't come with it then go with Fabtech.

hmmm ideffinatly wouldnt go as far as "number 1 lift compnay around" i would say CST is the best with Rize there and then RCD for sure.

superlift rancho fabtech and pro comp is just popular choice. But rize is winning quickly therre also.

this is how i would rate the companies...and i think others on this site would agree. from best to worse

CST Rize RCD Fabtech Rancho Superlift Pro Comp FTS Bulletproof Whiplash.

I'm talking about Superlift as number 1 overall as in all years, makes and models, not just for the F150 which appears to be what you're talking about. Thought I made that clear but I guess I didn't. Don't know how you could put CST #1 with a spacer lift vs a new shock either. If I were to go with a lift with a spacer (which I wouldn't) then BDS would be the easy winner in that category. Fabtech dominates the 04+ F150 market and for good reason. So in summary, Superlift is the #1 overall lift company and I'm not specifying for one particular year, make and model but overall.

Edit: Here's a pic of the BDS lift and you tell me this is not the most inclusive spacer lift around and you also get an option with rear leaf springs for it vs blocks

i see what your saying now. my bad
ye fabtech dominates the F150 market and most other markets too of vehicles.
i forgot about BDS and there kit for the F150...hasnt been out too long.
fabtech is deffinatly popular choice for most vehicles and is also really good kit.

what i was saying was about most extreme and quality lifts. they are all reall good quality but once pro comp comes it goes down a little then drops to FTS Whiplash and Bulletproof. trhey arent neccessarily terrible....just not as good as the others.

I have the 4.5" Superlift Kit. I am very happy with my kit. The ride is great.
The main reason I bought the Superlift over the other, is the front track width is not increased with the Superlift kit. Also, I like that it comes with the skid plate that spans the length and width of the front and rear crossmembers and it comes with Add a leafs instead of the blocks. As for the 6" lift, it is pretty much the same as the 4.5", except for the front shocks. I would call superlift and make sure the front crossmembers are a full 6" drop to keep the cv angles stock. I've noticed some 6" lifts have bad cv angles and increased track width, which I personally don't prefer. This is the only lift I've ever had, so I can't really compare and say this lift is better or worse than any other lift. I can only say that I am happy with my lift. Hope this helps

Would you measure a couple things for me on your truck. I am thinking of using the 4.5" Superlift and would like to know the distance from the ground to: top of front wheel well, bottom of running board, top of rear wheel well. I see you have had it on for a couple months now. Still liking it? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
