What A Beautiful Mess I'm In....SOS!!!!!!!!
My dealer here locally who I trust, checked it out and said that he thought the lift was crap, he said that he thinks that most lift companies are getting away from tubular upper arm controls due to them being a weak spot in the lift, also the bulletproof doesn't come with coils or anything in the rear, without upgrading and more money. So i told my guy ******* it just get the Full Throttle in, and on. I asked him to talk with Full Throttle and see if they could put some sort of arch on it in the front. If they can't I may just have him alter it at his shop. I really, really like the look of the bulletproof lifts on the trucks, they look good to me, but of course its more than looks.
man good look with the 12 inch lift...thats huge bro...the only thing is i wouldve atleast gone with a 39" tire instead of 38's since the site says u can fit 39.5..u dont want the tires lookin too small..but it should look fine...ur gonna be sittin HIGH and gas is gonna be a bitch haha.good look though!make sure to post pics peace!
I don't get it. The guy said the Bulletproof lift is crap but thinks the FTS is better, sorry but he couldn't be more wrong. I haven't heard near as many bad things about the Bulletproof lift as I have about the FTS lifts. I don't think you're going to be able to modify the front crossmember and if you do, I don't think it'll end up being very strong. Well, the shop will probally have to modify it anyways it make it fit correctly. . also, you're getting coils put in the rear? One other thing, I didn't think the Bulletproof came with UCAs but regardless tubular being bad? Look at the Camburgs and the Total Chaos UCAs, they are tubular and are top notch quality. I'm sorry but it sounds like you're guy is just trying to sell you what HE wants. This is all my opinion but since it's your truck, do what you want.
PS: The 38s are going to look pretty small. Are you going to get gears as well?

I will do gears as soon as I can, not sure hwat to get. As far as the tires If I do not look the way it looks, he will change it, because I talked to him about that in depth. I had a Fabtech 7.5 inch lift on my 2-wheeled drive which was tubular at the time, and told him that and he said that they changed it because of what he mentioned about being weak. I didn't know they changed it, and still have not seen it myself.

Do 4.88s without a doubt.
Yeah, tubular UCAs are strong enough for most every application. I've seen full on race trucks with billet UCAs but thats overkill, especially when we're talking about a 6,000 lbs F-150 on 40s, you're not going to be beating it offroad unless you like to flip upside down.
One last thing, you never answered my question about the rear coils?

To be honest I can't even remember, Ive been talking about the Rize, Full Throttle, and the Bullet Proof, and my brain is fried at this point. I don't think so though. I'll double check again with him tommorow if i get the chance. I looked on the web site again and didn't see anything about rear coils.
I already confirmed with him today to order it. Its a mute point now. We will all know soon, at my expense. I just can't wait until its on and I'm stading next to the truck, and can form my own opinion about it. I'll be honest with my opinion too, I think its important to the success of this site, so that's what i'm going to do, good, bad, or in-different. I appreciate all of your input, and still think you got the best truck out there.

Yeah I know your torn like I was between the Rize and going bigger. Here is what I feel......you cannot go wrong with the Rize 8 inch with 37's. With the 3 inch body, it has its pros and cons either way, some people love them, some don't. It all comes down to money in the end, because most of us scrape to get enough to cover the basic lift, and then continue to upgrade. If it didn't cost so much, there would be no hesitation, if it sucked, we change it. I'm so damn nervous, and at the same time I'm mentally taxed just thinking about it, and excited as well. If you have time you should wait to see what mine looks like with the Full Throttle, I hear everyone's input, but have not seen any pics other than the one in their catalog, or the ones on Bullet Proof's catalog, which I love the look of. Mine should be on, and pictures posted the day after, presuming I can figure out how to post them correctly. If mine sucks, which I hope it doesn't, then its down to the Bullet Proof and the Rize with the 3-inch body for you right? Pics should be up on Thurday the 3rd.
