2" or 2.5" Leveling Kit?

Guys,

I have a fully stock 06 SC 4x4 and want to level the front. Besides a half inch, what is the difference between the 2.0" and the 2.5" leveling kits?

I have seen two different models on eBay.
- 2" Aluminum (single block piece) spacer $105.00
- 2.5" Lazer cut steel w/ 3 welded support studs $79.99

When the tires wear, I will replace them with 285's, nothing bigger. I don't want to over lift it and have the front taller than the rear.

Which is the best option? Advise, reccomendations, etc.

Thanks in advance!

The 2" sits on top of the coil and you have to compress the coil to install, whereas the 2.5' one sites on top of the strut assembly. If you are interested in the 2", I just took an aluminum one off my truck and will sell it to you for less than the price you have there. Let me know if you want it. All of them serve the same purpose

I had to go with a 2 1/2" kit to get the front level with the rear. For some reason the '04's sat taller in the rear. You can maybe get by with a 2".

Hazelbalz,

Why did you remove your aluminum spacers?

They only gave me 2" so the front sat just a hair lower than the rear. Like pawpaw said, I had to go with the 2.5" to get the front level. That is the only reason I took it off. Other than that, the aluminum spacer was fine used it for about 2 yrs.

The 2" kit that I have for sale you have to compress the spring and it sits on top of the spring assembly and between the spring hat. Not that hard you can do it yourself or get someone to install it.
