ok, i'm relatively new to the suspension forum, and have some questions about the leveling kits... First, i have an 03 fx4, what would be some good kits to use? should i go with a 2 or 2.5 in? what looks more level? finally, if i do go with the 2.5 in, what else should i have to do on an 03?

Oh man it took me forever to find a 2" leveling kit for my 2000. I searched EVERYWHERE.

Actually, you are in luck because I see that you live in Ocala, FL. I actually happen to be an Ocala resident also. You are the first person I have met here that is from Ocala, so nice to meet you.

Anyway, I got it at a local suspension/custom/repair shop. The owner used to work for Ford and now he has his own shop. He told me he could get me one because of his connections with Ford. If you want, I can give you specific directions to the place.

Just let me know... I'm very happy with mine.

I live in Golden Hills Country Club, out on US Hwy 27 (west of the interstate). I've probably seen you around without knowing because I drive around town basically every day.

I don't know how familiar you are with Ocala, but the place is called Mullins Automotive Center. It is in the heart of Downtown Ocala, on Magnolia Avenue. It's right next to the train station. If you let me know where you will be coming from, I will give you specific directions, unless you already know.

And no, I don't have any pictures of my truck yet. The one in my signature is exactly what my truck looks like stock, but it's not mine (I found the pic on Kelley Blue Book). Mine looks much better. I've been meaning to stop being lazy and take some pictures, but I'm busy. I will get them as soon as I can, especially now that you asked for them.

Let me know if you need help. PM if you want or here is fine.

Yeah I think I know where it's at. I'll check it out sometime soon.

I pretty much live down in Orlando now since I'm going to UCF, but I grew up in Ocala and go back there during the summer breaks and whatnot. I live on a thoroughbred farm south of Ocala on 475, about 5 minutes from the Belleview I75 exit.

Okay cool I know where that is because I am actually a student at Belleview High School (senior graduating this May). I drive around Belleview all the time too because all my friends from school live there. It's a long drive from where I live to that school but I just moved in the middle of the year so they let me continue to go there.

Anyway just let me know if you need help finding the place. Maybe I'll see you around.

Heres a thread with before and after pics of my truck sitting side by side. I put the 2.5 on because in the add on ebay it said it gave more lift. I had almost three inches difference when I measured to the fender wells. Now I'm right at 40" front at rear. My driveway is at a slight angle but if you reference the bottom of the frame to the edge of the drive it looks pretty dang level. I would also suggest doing the install yourself. It took me 1/2 an hour or so for each side. Plus the alignment is a must. $80.00 for the lift +$100 for the alignment = a great do it yourself mod!

Good luck

Shane1 nice pics on the before and after front lift kit!
Im about to install one myself and helped me a lot of getting an ideal on what it would look like. I just bought 325/60/18 and hope to get them installed after the AS is installed.
