Looks pretty much like everybody's lift except instead of new shocks and springs, you get coil spacers (the "new shock towers"). Looks like it comes up a few cards short of the full deck, although if you don't wheel it's a cheaper way to get the lift.

It would prob. just be better for me to get a AS 2.5 and a Add-a-Leaf wouldn't it.......? Might save $1,000!

That's what I was thinking - it looks like 2" spacers and 2" knuckles. And you still have stock shocks and springs.

They have that exact lift on a truck at the ford dealer around here and I got curious one night and parked next to it. I have the 2.5" as and 1.5" aal and there was hardly a difference, it was just a smidge taller up front, other than that the back was the same. I was expecting more cause from a distance it looked good, but up close it was not as good as previous thought.

I guess that solves my problem. I'll go with 2.5 AS and 1.5 AAL with some 35's

The only upside to the Superlift is that the extended knuckles will maintain stock angles, the 2.5" AS will not. Although I have had a 2.5 " AS for 15K miles with no problems.

***For Super FX4***

I have the 4.5" Superlift Kit on my truck. I had a leveing kit installed at first. My main reason for getting the lift was that I didn't like the cv angles with the leveling kit. I also wanted a little more agressive look. I chose Superlift because their lift does not widen the stance in the front. Most other lifts do this. It is just my preference. I don't like my tires to stick out too much. It also has a full skid plate that spans the front and rear drop brackets. I have galleries of both leveled and lifted so you can see the difference. There is about 2 inches difference from the leveling kit. The ride is much better with the lift vs the leveling kit. With the leveling kit I had hardly any front travel. My upper control arms would hit my coil springs when I'd go over speed bumps, etc. Now that I have the lift, I have full travel and the cv angles are straight. I am happy with my lift. If you like taller trucks, I'd go with a 6" lift though. I didn't want to get 35" tires, so I stuck with the 4.5" lift. Hope this helps.

P.S. I think Superlift has new coil over shocks if you don't like the coil towers. I'm not sure if it is for the 4.5" lift. It might be for the 6". Check their website. I don't do any crazy offroading, so I didn't need it.

I am new to trucks but wanted to ask, if I get a 2.5 AS for my F150, does anyone sell the piece that fixes the angles on the front. For instance, is it possible that I could just buy that piece but not buy all the other stuff with it. (I was thinking Add-a-Leaf in the rear, 2.5 AS in the front)

If you add 2" spacers, the only way to fix the cv angles would be to drop the front differencial 2" or so to keep the factory cv angles. Longer steering knuckles would keep the upper control arms from hitting the coil spings, but it would not fix the cv angles.
Just so you know, I never experienced any cv problems with the leveling kit.
I never took it offroading with the leveling kit though. Plus, I only had the leveling kit on for about 6000 miles. I personally would not have gotten the leveling kit if I had known what would happen to the cv angles and upper control arms. I would have left it stock. I had to find out the hard way. I didn't even know what cv's were before I started messing with my truck. Good Luck! Hope this helps.

I got this quote from a movie.

"A fool learns from their own mistakes. A wiseman learns from other peoples mistakes."

Nice truck 05BlackF150! Looks awesome... I too have the SuperLift 4.5" lift with the 1.5" rear AAL. I have over 15K miles on my lift with NO complaints. I am very satisfied with my choice and my CV angles are at factory specs. I had a problem with one of my front drive axles...(popping noise while hard turning) I took the truck to the dealership with the aftermarket lift and running **** Cepek FC II 35X13.5 18" on ProComp 6001 18" wheels. The dealership was impressed with my lift and checked the CV angles with a gauge. The Service Manager stated "These guys running these leveling kits are in for a rude awakening if they have front drive line issues, if the CV angles are not at or near factory specs... then we do not cover problems under warranty" My truck had a bad CV (constant velocity) joint and the axle was repalced under warranty. I am sure dealerships vary relating to warranty issues but I am glad my lift kit maintains the correct angles. Also my truck rides and handles excellent. BoB

Man I think the F150 look perfect with the 4in Rancho or 4.5 Superlift. Great looking trucks you two.

If your going with a suspension lift, you might as well get a 6" kit for the same price or even cheaper. When anybody lifts their truck, they always wish they had went a little taller.
