Question superdutyz rock

Hey guys im new at this forum thing, but i need some help. I have a 2000 F250 with heavy helper springs and rancho shocks. I dont no much about aftermarket suspensions, so my question is. What can i put on this truck to make it ride better without loosing the extra towing capacity? Shocks, bigger tires, lifts, etc??

Shocks can help. Bigger tires tend to hurt and reduce towing capacity and generally lifts do too. Best bet would be loose the helpers and add air bags. Then you can increase the spring rate to match the load... although if you need that much helper spring for towing, I would think you are past the trucks design limits.

Smile Thats good advice

Thanks for writing man, thats freakin awsome. That helps, so what type of shocks are the best. I was thinking of the newer shocks with the gas chambers attached so i can adjust the ride. Do you lose height when you take out the extra leaf springs? Are lift kits and air bags hard to install, do you need any special tools?

Are you talking helper springs as in you've had extra leaves added to the truck or helper springs as in auxiliary springs (overloads)

superduties rock

Why is there such a difference in the ride quality of a 2000 superduty vs. a 2006 superduty. Will newer beefier shocks improve the ride fo my 250?
