Lift Quote

Just got a quote for the lift on my truck. My Truck is an '01 screw 2wd .Mods getting ready to purchase include:

1) 7.5 Fabtech Crossmember System
2) Pro Comp 315/75/16 xterrains
3) Pro Comp 1069 rims
+ Install

They Gave me a quote of around $ 4000. I am no expert but im thinking that is way to steep of a price. The lift alone is only about $1200 and tires should equal to about 900 and rims 5-600. Either they charge way to much for installation or they are just dumb.

But just wanted to clarify with everyone and see if this sounds about right? Let me know what yall think! thanks alot!

You also have mount, balance, alignment, install kit and taxes to figure in so if all of that's include then I say you're doing ok. Kit=1200, Tires=900 (make sure you get your free tire this month), Wheels=600, Alignment, mount, balance=150, install kit=35, labor=600 and we'll say your at 7 on taxes so then your grand total would be 3728.95 and that includes taxes so if they're not including taxes in that price then I would definitely go else where but if taxes are including then you may want to still shop around but you're in the ballpark.

I went to a shop here where I will be getting everything done and got a quote for the following;

6" Fabtech lift
18x9 Helo Maxx 6's
325/65r18 Nitto Terra Grapplers

The guy said installation would be $700 so my total including installation, alignment and taxes (in other words my out the door price) was ~$5100.

They said I could order everything myself, bring it to them and they would do the installation for the same $700. I came home and shopped for everything online and could get it all for $3400 so with the $700 for installation it should only run me $4100. I think a $1000 markup for the parts is a pretty steep markup so needless to say I will probably be doing my own ordering this weekend or next at the latest.

They're probably not marking up the price but they just don't get it at the same discount as some other places. Took me selling about 10000+ a month on fabtech and superlift to get prices where I could compete with anyone elses prices online but I had to sell more than one kit for cost but it's all worth it now. So don't think that place is trying to rip you off they may not get the discounts the other places give. Technically speaking, Fabtech is mat pricing at 10% under jobber so everyone is supposed to sell this kit for the same price but there's a lot of companies out there breaking these rules and Fabtech is starting to cut them off completely by actually getting lawyers involved which is what Fabtechs national sales manager told me when he came in. Donahoe and Rize are the same way and not happy at all when people break their pricing rules.

Edit: We actually charge 500 if you get the kit from us and 800 if you don't so that's cool they're sticking with the 700 price for you.
