Lifting a 99' F150 2WD
Lifting a 99' F150 2WD
I have a stock 99' 2wd F150 and would like to know what would be the best thing to do to it in order to achieve that 4x4 look? I know body spacers and such but these only go up to 1 1/2" from what I've found. Anybody have any info?
Thanks,

i have a coil spacer on my 97 2wd. it sits about a 1/2 inch lower than level(1/2 inch lower in front) but its still about 2 inches lower than a 4x4 overall. u can get a 2 inch block for the rear and a 3.5 inch spindle for the front which should put u right about 4x4 level.
Hey man ive got a 99 2wd F150. I bought a 3 inch pro comp spindle lift for it. It is now discontinued. But anyways, i put that 3 inch lift on there, and then i got new wheels and tires. 285/75/16. You will have rubbing on those tires with a 3 inch lift. It doesnt come with new upper control arms, but you will need to put a camber kit on there. I had to put a camber kit on the front and rear of my truck. To get rid of the rubbing, i got a used set of fabtech upper control arms and put daystar once inch spacers up front. That helped out a lot. If you can find a kit with 3.5 inch spindles then you should be fine. you will rub a little now and then but nothin major at all. I hope this helps. Good luck.
fabtech and rough country make spindle lifts, fabtechs site says u need a 1.5" block i think to make it level, no a arms needed. if u just want it to be level the coil spacer or longer coils is the best u can do without new a arms
to quote fabtech "To complete this kit please select a block and u-bolt kit from below. Most F150 trucks running the 3.5" lift spindle will sit level with the addition of a 1.5" rear block kit. If you prefer having the rear higher than the front we strongly recommend the 3" rear block. For west coast customers that prefer the front higher than the rear a 1" block is recommended." this if for their 3.5" spindle kit. my coil spacer is made by daystar and i got it for around $70
