Shocks????

ok, I have kind of an odd question. I had a shock blow out on me on my 2001 screw 4x4, and I have been looking at new ones. I was curious if I could put piggy back shocks on the truck with it being stock (I am sure I can) but what benefits would it give me? Just curius, cause if I decide against them I am going with rancho 9000's Thanks for any help and suggestions.

HAPPY WHEELIN

so those are probably the best for a stock truck then? I will be adding a 3" body lift, 33" tires and probably 4.10 or 4.56 gears soon hopefully. Right now I am running 265/75/16's

another vote for the rs9000xs

the only way i would recommend piggy back shocks would be for a lifted truck that'll be offroaded alot & rough offroading

well, because of money situations, what about the 5000 series? I know there not adjustable, but for a truck that see's about 60% on road use, would they be a safe bet? I tow a 16' trailer about twice a week, with loads from 1200-5400 lbs. And when the truck is off road, it isnt exactley used lightly but not to the point where I am destroying it either

Go with the Rancho's, you can't go wrong with the 5000's or 9000 series. The piggyback (resovoir) shocks would be great for a race tuned suspension in a fast paced off road environment where the shocks heat up alot, but for everyday four wheelin it's expensive overkill (imo).
