then you already have a leveling kit built in
theyre called torsion bars
crank them up to level out your truck, you can usually get 1 1/2 to 2" out of em

I agree. Just crank up your torsion bars, get an alignment and save you money. "Leveling kits" for our trucks are just reindexed torsion bar adjustment keys that allow you to put way too much preload on your torsion bars. This creates extreme CV and ball joint angles leading to premature wear. They also destroy your ride quality.

You can fit them if you use the OEM wheels. If you use an aftermarket wheel, you will need at least a 3 inch body lift. Personally, I'd go with the body lift regardless of what wheel you use.

Hey everybody,
I'm considering lifting my truck by doing the torsion bar cranking, and from what i've read, it seems that its not suggested to buy aftermarket torsion bar keys because it can cause more damage than good.

my question is,
what would i need to buy in order to raise the truck with the existing torsion bars? I'm at school right now too so i would be taking it to a off road center and asking them to do the labor, plus i want to order add-a-leafs to bring the rear of the truck up the amount of height i'm raising the front. would they simply just charge labor for rasing the torsion bars because if there arn't any aftermarket parts required?
thanks for your help guys!
John

All you have to do is lift the front of the truck and turn two 18mm adjustment bolts. Really, the only cost to cranking up the torsion bars is the front end alignment you will need afterwards. I'd just let the alignment center crank them up if you don't want to do it yourself.
