Ride / shock Question on 01' Screw

I have been noticed that when I drive around now and hit a bump or pot hole, my frontend seems like it hits it harder than usally. Because normally it rides extermly smooth, and now its awful.
I've read on here that most people replace there stock shock's around 30K, so I'm thinking that I may need to swap mine out because I'm at 95K with the same stock shocks. Do you think that its the shocks that are gone or maybe there something else, because I seem to remeber that FORD put out a warning to have your frontend checked or maybe it was the tye rod anyway I do not know that much about suspension so thought I would ask for some assistance.
