2 1/2 in front coil spacers and add a leaf in back
hey guys,
i have been wanting to lift my 03 2wd a little bit. i was thinking bout the 2 1/2 coil spacer in the front and an add-a-leaf in the back. is this a good, economic set up? what size do you recomend on the add-a-leaf? and will i have to have my truck realigned following the install?

Hey I have a 97 f150 supercab 2wd and I just ordered a 2" leveling kit. I also have a set of add a leafs going on at the same time. I'm hoping to have it installed by next week and I'll post some pictures and tell you what I think. The main reason I'm doing this is so I can fit some bigger tires on there.
If you lift the front of a 97-03 4x2 over 2 inches using new coils or spacers, you will need new upper control arms to get the alignment within specs. Even with 2 inch springs or spacers, a lot of trucks need camber bolts to get the alignment within specs. The coil spacers are a good way to get a little lift. Personally, I'd install the spacers and a 3 inch body lift. That would put you at about the height of a 4x4 with the torsion bars cranked up.
