Major problem installing AS 2.5

Went to install my 2.5 spacers last night and ended up having to give up and put everything back to stock.
Absolutly could not get the 30mm bolt to break loose! Tried a socket on a breaker bar with about a 3 foot pipe on it and snapped the extension in 1/2!!!
Then I borrowed a compressor and impact wrech and it still wouldn't break loose! Has anyone else been as lucky as me to do such a simple install?

Oh yeah, the 30MM bitch, I broke a rachet & an extension I ended up using the harder 3/4" impact socket & extension and a 3 foot cheater with some liquid wrench. But she finely broke loose.. Don't let it kick ya ***, get back in there

That's good. Funny thing is mine came loose with a 1/2" ratchet only.

I think its a fairly common problem. Mine was the same way on the first side. I had quite a few things to say to that dang nut (I'm being mild here!) but finally got the first one loose. First side took just under two hours to put the spacer in--second side only took about 30 min. thank goodness!

Well worth the effort in the end, though!

Yeah, I'd rather know it's put together too good than not good enough,I guess. But I do know I'm not about to tackle a body lift, I'll just have to pay someone. Thanks for the help though this site rocks

if your having tons of problems, take a can of liquid wrench of wd40 with you everywhere, and the day before install everytime you are near your truck spray the bolt, it will loosen it up, and spray right before attemtping to break it, it should still be tough, but i got it off, with only a breaker bar, see what you can do, shouldnt be a problem, and good luck

hivoltagefx4,

I work in your area. Where did you have your AS 2.5 installed and how much did it cost. I'm looking for a place to have mine installed with a AAL.

Man, you can say that again... When I installed my 6" lift I could not believe how tight some of the nuts/bolts were...

If there is clearance there and no bushings, in the future take a torch and heat the nut up, it will make removing it a lot easier.
