Exclamation For Those Thinking About Purchasing Fabtech Lift

Just wanted you to see the comparison. As you can see in the first pic, the *** end still sat way too low. The blocks that came with the kit for the rear weren't nearly high enough as they advertised (6"). My guys at the shop said that all of the Fabtech kits that they install have the same problem. Good thing was they offered to put an add-a-leaf in the rear to even it out...for free. I definately didn't want the "California Crawler" look! The 2nd pic is the after product. I don't know if anyone else had this problem with Fabtech.

no, the fabtech comes with rear blocks, they should be 4" but they are not, they are about 2" blocks, and thats why the *** in my truck sits low too, i added an aal, and am swithcing my block to a 4" but now that i see fabtech fixed the problem for someone else,i may contact them about it, i would rather have another aal over a block stack

I think we'll start seeing our lifts listed like drops 4/2 front/rear. The sad part for guys like me who like the nose down approach is that all the lifts I'm aware of are shorter out back - part of the "leveling" craze. When I did the 3" SkyJacker I even tried to get a taller back and heard that "no one likes that look". Maybe FabTech is following the "prerunner" trend with the nose up look.

I haul stuff, nose down means level when loaded!

That's a nice ride you have there! I really like it. What's the price on the Fabtech lift? Also, what size tires and wheels are you running??

I agree, I have the same issue. I have the AAL in my carport, just been too lazy and cold to put it in.

Awesome! You have confirmed that you can do an AAL to a 2WD truck then. Do you happen to know what brand AAL your guys at the shop put on your truck? I still want to keep my AS 2.5" leveling kit up front and possibly go with a bigger block and an AAL, but don't know where to get a bigger block.

Fabtech started out doing only 2WD lifts and on Toyota only. They used to have a retail shop in Fullerton that did lifts and other aftermarket mods as well as the manufacturing of their own lifts. When thier name got bigger they moved the manufacturing to Brea but still had the shop in Fullerton. Once they hit the big time they moved to Riverside and closed the Fullerton shop.

BTW your truck looks real nice in both photos. When mine grows up it'll have a 6" lift too.

Thanks. The Kit was $1700 (installation extra). The tires are 325/60R20. Rims are 20" of course....don't know what the back spacing is.

Don't remember what brand the AAL was. I can find out this weekend though.
