Thanks. It's funny you ask that cause I have had warranty work done on it twice (minor stuff). I bought the truck in Texas but live in Cali. The Ford dealership here actually thinks I bought the truck with the lift kit already on so they don't ask any questions. They sell a lot of 150s and 250s straight off the lot with Fabtech kits as options. I'm afraid to even mention it to them cause I don't wanna jinx myself. My insurance covers everything though.

The total with kit, tires/rims & installation was about $5200.

Which kit did you end up going with? For $1700 sounds like you got more than just the basic kit. If that is correct is there a reason why you went with more than just the basic kit? I am going with a Fabtech 6" kit in March, but still trying to decide which kit to go with. Will probably end up with just the basic kit since I won't ever take my 2WD truck offroading.

Saw your reply to my previous question and I will be looking forward to finding out which AAL your shop guys installed on your truck.

Good thing was they offered to put an add-a-leaf in the rear to even it out...for free. I definately didn't want the "California Crawler" look! The 2nd pic is the after product. I don't know if anyone else had this problem with Fabtech.

What size rims and tires do you have on your truck?

So is it fabtech that has the aal, because i also would like to fix my stance. I have been told that 2006 f150 have change the pin configuration on the rear leafs( whatever that means ) and that there is nothing availiable for my truck yet.

So I have been wondering if I can just purchase the rear blocks that comes with the rize 8" kit?????

I sure hope so because I don't want that "stink bug" look when I lift mine.

Yea...I think the basic kit was like $1400 and it didn't have the coilovers....my guy at the shop talked me into getting the next higher up kit...lol....I'm glad I did

My KR is a 4x2 also, no off roading for me...I just always liked the look of a "lifted street truck"..no one ever gave me crap about it which is good I guess, but then again...it's my money!

I don't think Fabtech makes an aal. Mine was some other brand that the shop purchased.

Actually, a 325/60-20 is basically a 35x13.00-20 tire.

I think Wandell is thinking about a 18" wheel which would be true.

325/65R20 is a 36.63x12.8x20
325/60R20 is a 35.35x12.8x20

According to http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

Stink bug means your rear sits higher than the front.

No, thats not true. Many companies make an AAL though such as Skyjacker and Deaver. I've got a Deaver AAL in the rear of my truck currently.

Do you rub? . . coilovers cranked?

I think he thought it meant the other way around...I was always told it was a "Cali Crawler" or "prerunner"...either way...I hate the look...but that's just me.

No Thump I dont rub during regular driving only on hard bumps at a full turn.

This is my first truck, had I known of such kits as rize last summer I would of gone that route.

Oh well what do you do, pulling out an existing kit just to replace it with another bigger kit would not fly my fiance...
