2.5" AS on 04FX4 need a bit more height.
I recently installed some 35" pro comps and I got some rubbing issues. I have a 04 FX4 with the 2.5" autosprings. I have cut some off my fender flares and it reduced the rubbing a lot. But I still have some fender rubbing on the plastic wheel well itself. So aside from maybe amputating more of my trucks fenders is there a rather easy alternative to raising my front end perhaps 1" more?
I don't really want to install a rather expensive lift kit especially after dumping 2k on tires and wheels. But if that's my only option then damn my mastercard to hades.

no fender rubbing that way- you will rub your upper and lower control arms at full crank though- (minor in my opinion- as it is not a daily occurance.)

As far as I figure, that's about it?

I just installed a body lift on my '04 4x4, although I'm running OEM wheels so I didn't have rubbing issues to begin with. The body lift took ~18 hours on my driveway with hand tools. Although I did make some recommendation for others based on my expereience. Look for the thread DYI Body Lift... The Good...The Bad...The ugly post last week (1/17/2007).
