Bigger than 6" for 97-03?

Does anyone make a 8, 10, or 12 inch lift kit for the F150, 97-03 body style? I know everyone talks about rize, but that's for the 04's and newer.

Full Throttle and Bulletproof make some huge lifts for our trucks. Most people tend to run 6 inch suspension lifts with a 3 inch body lift however.

Is there a reason behind doing it w/a body lift rather than all in the suspension? Only thing I can think of might be price.

I'm not sure of their prices. Part of it is probably the bad reputation given to huge IFS lift kits by Whiplash. Part of it is because a 1/2 ton truck can only handle a tire so big before parts start breaking regularly because of the added stress added by huge tires.

from what i have read and heard the larger lifts (8+ inches) put the front cv shafts at a extreem angle and cause wear, also for offroading purposes it doesnt handle as well and the half shafts (cvs) have a tendicy to snap offroading, they are more for looks, if you are biulding a mall crawler go for it, if you want to do some heavy offroading, go with a 6" fabteck and a 3" PA body lift.

agree
anyone that offroads with a 97-03 150 down here uses a 6" fabtech & a 3" PA Body Lift (& Bilstein 5100/50s)
or if they have a larger budget they use the Rock Krawler 6" Coilover Conversion kit

Thanks for this info! Definately all good info. I pretty much had planned on only doing a 6" susp. lift, but I was just curious about the higher sizes.
