Screw it!! I'm putting my AS spacer on!!

After months of reading post after post about AS spacer destroying balljoints and whatnot, i'm going to finally put mine on soon. Read many many post saying there holding up perfectly fine also. I'm only going with the 2inch so there isnt thaaaat much stress on the components. Going to be putting 285/70/17 bfg on stock tires. Even though i only have a 2wd i will be offroading pretty good, so i sure hope they hold up.

Please encourage me to put it on! post how many miles you have on your 2inch spacer!

Put it on. I had one on for a year without any issues. I had a 2" AS. I took it off and went with GF drop shackle instead though, not because of any problems, because I didn't like the look. You should be fine.

BTW, what grille guard is that? I have a GSP. Oh, and your gallery link camera icon doesn't take you to your gallery, but the gallery search page.

Go for it! I have had my 2.5" on for probably 8k miles no problems, i pull trailers alot (I have the 1.5" aal though) and still have had no problems! A little off roading hasnt hurt it either (ill be it minimal at that)

I have 12k miles on a 3"Skyjacker, and now a 2.5" AS (which netted me 3" as well). I also have a rear Add-a-leaf. Not one problem with wearing anything out(knock on wood). I also have the same tires you are going to be putting on. Go for it!! You won't regret it.

I put my AS 2.5" on right after I bought my FX4. 6 months later, rides great, no problems and looks killer in my opinion

I put my 2.5" on almost 2 months ago. I have had no problems and makes the truck look so much better. Go for it without any doubts.

I dont know the difference between the AS spacer and others but I have had a d.s. spacer on my truck for a little over 2 years now. It has alittle over 25,000 miles on it. Its an 05 fx4 and put it on less than a week after I bought the truck. No major offroading but playing in the mud, playing in the sand dunes at the island, and going to the ranch. Havent had any problems.

Where did you get that drop shackle, if you don't mind me asking? I like the idea of this since it would keep the UCA/LCA geometry correct while still lifting the nose of the truck.
