1st time truck owner

What's up guys... Just bought an 05 Screw and looking to add some mods. I like the idea of raising the front to kill the "nose dive" and it sounds like autospring or daystar are the way to go after reading through here.

Please dont flame me for asking some stupid questions but...
1. where can I buy autospring leveling kits
2. what are the differences between leafs and spacers? (did I ask that right?)
- Can you use both or one or the other...hell, I'm confused

Please keep in mind that Im more interested in looks and not so much off-roading....maybe everyone once in awhile.

If my answers can be found by searching deeper into the forums, just let me know and I apologize. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Congrats on the truck purchase! Welcome to the site.
You will find hordes of info on this site. Site member Wandell is very knowlegable with regards to lifts, wheel/tire fitments, etc. He will probably be along soon and post some good info for you.

Again, welcome!

You can get an Autospring off ebay for about $82 shipped. And you can get a 1.5" Add a Leaf along with the leveling kit if you still want factory rake.

just to clarify you have leaf springs in the back of your truck and coilovers in the front. u said u want to level it so u can buy the 2" auto spring, tha will level it out u can get them on ebay for around $100 maybe less. that will go ontop of your coilovers, u will then need a front end alignment.

I appreciate the info...I will be able to sleep well knowing the difference now....autosprings it is then. Adding the leaf sounds like a good idea though.

Ive read the horror stories with all the rubbing and all, if Im not really off-roading that much, should I be concerned? Also how does everyone feel about skyjackers?

You should be OK with the AS spacers. A vast majority here are using them with no or minimal issues (ball joints).

Yes, raise that front end a bit and get rid of the "stink bug" stance. BTW, welcome!

One more question. Not related to the suspensions, but when you purchase the edge evolution, it says it comes with some type of mounting pod. What color is the pod? I have black interior so was just curious. Dont really care to have a beige pod with black interior.

Again thanks for all the replies. I will try to get a pic up and a sig with everything done so far real soon.

The pod is grey I think. Either way, it shouldn't be hard to match it to your interior with some paint from pepboys.

You could also lower the rear with drop shackles to level out for less than 100 bucks.
