Question "Creaking" front end noise

97 F150,2wd,129k miles
This morning the temperature was 40 degrees. There are speed bumps in my mobile home park where I live. When I went over them this morning I heard a loud "creaking" noise from the right side front end. This evening, when the temperature was in the upper 60s,I went over the speed bumps and no noise? Any ideas as to what and why the noise was made?

Sounds like your ball joints are on the way out. Try injecting some grease into the boots with a needle to see if that solves the issue. If they are the original ball joints you should think about getting them replaced.

mine used to make the same noise only when it was cold and only before I got my lift put on. I just assumed it was my old springs in the front which were replaced once I got my lift.
