Lift?

i have an 06' fx4 and i want to lift it. the local 4x4 shop only has a 4" rancho and a 6" procomp. i plan on putting 35" tires (20" wide and undecided on the brand) with 20" chrome rims. which lift would be the best? i also dont like the "spacy" look that the 6" with 35" gives off. what are my options? thanks guys

How much money do you want to spend?

I'd say Rize, RCD, or Fabtech are the best bolt on lift kits out right now.

money is no object. however the lift can only be either rancho or pro comp due to the 4x4 place and my limited parts and time (in college) thanks guys

I don't get your thread than, what exactly do you need to know?

Go with the Procomp kit with the coilovers and MX6 shocks in the rear.

between only those 2 if u want a look with less space in the wheel wells then the 4" rancho lift is for u, if it was me i like more lift so i would go for the 6" procomp lift if it was the stage 2 kit with the adjustable coilovers.

If they do, I'd hate to see what they would charge.

Must be nice to be in school and have money be no object. When I was in college money was always the ruling factor - actually still is.. :-) otherwise I would have a supercharger already mounted!!!

regardless of all that, I would say you should shop around. I just installed the fabtech at a local pro max shop for $450 out the door. Just like many have said here, you should be ready for the unexpected... for us it was custom brake lines in the front.

You will most likely save a ton if you shop on line, just insure your shop will install carry in parts. 4wheelonline and autoanything seem to offer some great deals on procomp, fabtech, and other lift sets.

Just buy the lift you desire and have them install it, you dont have to settle for whats laying around in their shop.

Talking pro comp!

I have a 2005 super crew with a 6' pro comp kit on 35's and it looks pretty good. i would go that route.
