2005 F150 lift questions

Hey everyone im new here and i have some questions about what my truck will look like on a lift and tire sizes. I just got a 2005 150 supercab 2WD. It will be my first lifted truck.

1. What brand of lift should i buy? Im trying not to spend to much but i want a quality lift.

2. Will 35s look good on my truck? I dont want it to look like a small truck on a big lift but im pretty sure i want to go with the 6'' lift.

3. What modifacations will i have to make? Will I be able to just through a lift under it and put some big tires under it?

here are the links to the pictures...

Well, first off you have 2wd so its automatically 3" shorter then a 4x4. Good lifts are fabtech, procomp, RIZE, and RCD. There are many more, but just to name a few. Im sure wandell and them will chime in on some more helpful info.

Good luck

1. I'd go with the Fabtech 6" with DL coilovers. Its going to be pretty hard to make your truck look like that one with only 6" because of the difference between 2WD and 4WD. If you want it to look like that truck, get the CST 8.5" but be careful about the price.

2. Yes, 35s will look good. Check out -TX150-

3. Pretty much. .

PS: Rize doesn't make kits for 2WDs. .

I'd go with the 6 inch Fabtech lift and some 35 inch tires. The 6 inch Pro Comp lift is a little cheaper and is another option.

I have the fabtech without the DL coilovers and I got it for $1700 with teh coilovers will cost you around $2000+. The coilovers will give you a better ride but its not a must have. At least for me. in the future though I plan on upgrading to DLs. I also have 35s and 18s with no rubbing or trimming.

Like the color of your truck!

Here ya go...

6" Pro Comp, 35" tires, 17X9 Moto Metal 951's. '05 XLT, 5.4L, 2WD. No rubbing whatsoever.
