Half drive bolts?

What kind of head are the bolts that hold the half shaft to the front diff? I can't figure what types of bolts there are. 1997 F150 4x4.

Get a 12 point 12mm -½ inch drive socket. Also buy some penetrating oil like PB Blaster and spray the nuts.

I have 12 m sockets but they look more like a male torx head. Not a torx socket but a head.

Look at the pic. The 12 point will fit on the bolts.

Drats. It does look like it was made for a 12 point socket. And I purposely have bought all 6 pts over the years figuring the 6 pt bites/grabs better and there was no such thing as a 12 pt bolt. Oh well.
