Hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone has a pic of a 97-03 with a 4" lift and 33's. I just got the truck regeared with 4.10's so i would like to stay with the 33's but think it would look better with some extra space in the wheel wells.

 

My Screw has a 3 inch body lift with the torsion bars cranked slightly and 33's. That will give you an idea.

 

Thanks wandell, your truck looks great, thats pretty much exactly what i had in mind looks wise. I thought it would look good from the first time i thought about it, but a couple family members told me it would make the tires look to small so it got me second guessing myself.

Did you have to Torsion bars cranked up a little bit on the white truck, It kinda looks like is sits a little higher in the front. Also how did you like the way it rode and handled, was it alot differant than stock?

 

While i was looking through the pics i noticed for the rear the lift block was stacked under the stock block. Is that the way rancho recommends installing them, always kinda thought that was a big time no-no

 

The only thing i remember about the block is we stacked it on top of the factory & it didnt fit as well so we decided to put it under. Actually it rode better than stock, BUT i had the RS9000Xs & the stock shocks were shot.
No, the truck sat level its the ground that wasnt level, if you look at the two side pics the left side is always higher.
I highly recommend the Rancho lift. But if you want to go higher look into the fabtech & RCD lifts

 

Wow wandell, I've seen you post more than a few times and this is the first time I really checked out your truck. That suspension set up is awesome man!! Who makes that body lift, an how much? How was the install? Whats a good size tire to run that set up with mine do you think? I have the stock FX4 rims. Ultimately how is the ride vs stock? Any unusual sounds or squeaks?

((Oh BTW how and who got those SVT tail-lights on your FX4? Thats awesome! For awhile I thought that was just a picture of a lightning or a stepside that you just threw in your pics haha? Sweet!!!))

My body lift is made by Performance Accessories. There kits are very complete. THe installation is not hard, but it is tedious work. It took me an entire weekend to install it, but I was basically working by myself. One of the good things about a body lift is that the ride is not affected. The cost is also another bonus, they cost about $150 plus about $75 for the Gap Guards to cover the gaps in the wheelwells. As for tires, I'd go with a 33x12.50 or a 35x12.50 tire on a 10 inch wide wheel. Whether you prefer 16, 17, 18 or 20 inch wheel is strictly personal preference.
Also, my taillights are OEM SVT Lighting taillights. I purchased them a few years ago in a group buy at FTW. The Supercrews and Flareside beds use the same taillights.

Yep, you can fit 35x12.50's on a stock 4x4 by using the OEM wheels.
