Well, thanks Brent but after seeing yours with the Rancho setup and wheels, you really got me second guessing myself because I think you pulled off a really clean look with the lift too!

Yeah, my wheels are +14mm but I had -12mm on my last FX4 with the lift so don't think I will have any issues keeping the wheels; I may switch out to slighlty narrower tire if I decide to make the switch.

2" lift kit

I am looking at a Rough Country suspension kit 97-03 FORD F150 2.5 INCH SUSPENSION KIT W/SHOCKS and This kit consists of 2.5" torsion keys and a 1" rear block kit. This kit fits 97-03 F150s and includes hydro shocks. is this a good kit as i see other kits that have w/ add a leaf and also a 2' rear block set instead of the 1" And do i need anything else like a leveling kit?
Also i am looking at 265X70R17E (31X10.50R17) pro comp extream mud terain tires with TYPE 6089 CHROME - PRO COMP WHEEL 17x8 wheels. Can i go with 285x70R17 ? what do you think on this anyone?
I have a 2002 F150 XLT FX4

Don't get it. Just crank your torsion bars up then get an alignment. You can fit those without a lift. If you want crank the tbars and an add a leaf to keep the rake.

I had the PCM recalibrated so would have to re-do that again for the larger tires.

It's factory; I believe it's a air deflector for fuel efficiency but someone may think otherwise.

Thanks man! It's been a work in progress for the last few years, but I think I'm getting close. All I have left now are a few inexpensive appearance mods.. Maybe ptm door handles. Stuff like that. I actually got a steal on my lift which is why I bought it along with the fact I kept tearing cv boots with my 2.5" kit. After I collected the 500 dollar rebate, sold my bilsteins I had, and sold all my stock parts I only had 600 in my lift and 9000xl shocks! Was definitely worth it just to get better angles alone!

I have a 2004 also. Where did you get your tow mirrors, Tasca? You have to move a couple pins around correct?
