worn out front end ?

Just took my f-150/7700 in for an front end aligment. They told me ford front ends were junk, and all the front end parts had to be replaced. ($790.00 ). It only has 90,000 miles on it. Is this true? I have a 3/4 ton 2000 ford van with 95,000 miles on it,and the tires are wearing true as ever.Just thought this might be bull. Any help would be appreciated. Also.what is the best after market parts to replace them with ?

Take it elsewhere...anyone that would say what that shop said to you...wouldn't get a dime of my money...and you can bet they say the same about Chevy, Dodge, Studebaker...

Shop around....that price is unreasonable.

If the tires are wearing correctly...I wouldn't start worrying about alignment problems.

The problem with owning any old vehicle is when you take it to a shop.

They'll tell you anything, just to make a buck.

My trucks (have two) go to the dealer for service. Check around your area...ask here at the forum for someone in your area that's fair and honest.

i know the ball joints on the f150 are junk 90,000 miles its about time fore them.
I just did them on my truck ALL 4.thay are about $50 or $60 each then you need to buy cams about $65 then a aligment. This will tell you how to tell if its bad https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ht=ball+joints
