installing lift kit
Hello,
I have a 99f150 4x4 ext cab that i would like to install a 10" Whiplash lift on. Right now it has a 3" body lift and the torsion bars cranked up to give it lift and a double shocks in the front. This was how the truck was when we bought it and did not know that the lift was done this way. I plan on keeping the body lift and adding the 10" lift for a total of 13". I plan on doing it myself in the driveway and was wondering how hard this is and if i need any special tools?
Thanks

I will look into the Full Throttle kits. I am mainly looking for something around 10". I want to go higher then the average 6" lift kits. I have a 02 2wd expedition with a RCD 6" lift 315/75/r16 tires. The F150 really dosent have a lift just a bodylift and some blocks in the rear and the torsion bars cranked up and it sits higher then the Expedition. I am wodering how it would be if i do go with a 6" and keep the body lift on it. How much of a difference would 9" total compare to 13" ? How much extra work is involved in doing a 6" compared to a 10" lift, do i need to have the driveshaft leghthened and any other things done? I am currently running a LT315/75/R16 tires, can i go bigger on the stock axles?
Thank you
