2" AS with Sky jacker Add A Leaf

I recently purchaced a 2" autospring leveling kit, and a 1.5" skyjacker add a leaf, for my 2005 xlt super cab 4X2

I would like to elimante some of the factory rake on the vehicle, along with a mild lift, will this set up work.

I have read that some people useing the add a leaf claim it adds 2" in the rear.

My factory rack is almost 2 1/2 inches.

34 3/4 front

37 1/4 rear.

or should I have gone with the 2.5 AS? anyhelp would be great.

It all depends on how much rake you want to take out of your look. I have an '06 xlt 4x2 and i added the AS 2.5" to the front, and am thinking of doing the 2 or maybe 3" add-a-leaf to the rear. Its all up to you, i think the 2.5 leveled me out almost perfectly. In my case, i think maybe the 2.5 was better than 2" if you want some rake, because then adding the 1.5 to the rear gives you that little rake back you are looking for. Hope this helps!

I added a 2.5" AS last week and it brought my 05 4x4 up to about 40" in the front, where I have 39.5 in the rear with the stock set up. The Leer Tonneau cover I have offsets that and gives it a look of a slight rake.

for what its worth, I bought the offset 2.5" AS for about $80 and received them the next business day. We installed them in our garage afterwork one night and it was pretty easy. I haven't had any issues at all with them like others have had after reading through some of the posts I found here. I think the AS was an awesome way to get the truck leveled and offer us some room for the tire/wheel set up we hope to have mounted this weekend..

well I have read a few people on here have this set up and like the way it sits, I will give it a try, Kevin at Autospring said if I change my mind and want to go with the 2.5" he will swap it out for me no problem, but I should see close to 2 1/4 if not a little more.

I guess my biggest concern was not being able to get away from the factory rake.

Mike at Skyjacker says I will gain at the most 1 3/4", so I guess I will find out this weekend.

If you tow alot you will sure want to add the lift spring in the rear. When you correct the rake it looks great, but add a trailer, boat, 4-wheeler, etc and your looking at the moon...

I dont tow alot but I dont want to be looking at the sky when I do. I am hoping to get 37 front and 38 1/2 in the rear. that would leave me a slight rake.

you may end up with a little more rake than that with the two items you are installing, from my experience, your back may be a little higher than you think, but its all the truck. I know your 2" front will probably raise you between 2 and 2.25 in the front with the leveling kit, so it all depends what you get from your leaf, my guess is right around 1.5-1.75 putting you at 37" front and 38.75" or 39" in the rear. I guess this is close to what you want, but im just letting you know you may want to change out that front for 2.5" instead, but hey its all trial and error.
