06 Harley Drop

Hey guys, the other night I was on the main strip in town and saw a 2006 harley davidson edt. droped about 3 or 4 inches. It looked sick, it really highlighted the 22 inch stock wheels and the whole truck. I was wondering if anyone has any recomendations for a drop kit for my 06 harley?, the truck right now is way too high, especially in the back and it looks like a totally different truck with the drop. The 00-03 harley's look like they came a lot lower stock then the stock 06 harley.

I have been thinking about dropping the rear of my 2006 4x2 King Ranch to level it out. I agree that it really changes the look of the truck and I also plan to add 22" rims in the not so distant future.

Here is a place I found which has a Rear Shackle Kit which lowers the F150 between 1.5" and 2" for $78 with shipping.

http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part.a...8&scid=froogle

It says it fits the following trucks:

2004 & up Ford F-150 - 2wd
Does Not Fit Heritage Models

Has anyone else tried this on their truck and been happy with it? Do you have to change your shocks or mess with your exhaust, etc.?

Oops, I just realized you are probably looking for a complete drop kit, which is a little more expensive. Here is the place I started and then, I decided to focus in on a simple rear shackle since I want my truck to sit at factory height in the front.

I just found this picture of a truck with the rear shackle kit from this forum. I hope he will see his truck and comment on the questions from my last post.

I was told for the rear, there are blocks you remove from the u bolts and replace with smaller blocks and will lower the rear of the truck, Thats the case for my truck, but I should also mention that my truck is 4x4

4x2's don't have lift blocks out back. I'm not sure about the new Harleys, but the previous Harley F-150's were lowered an inch. I'd look at the McGaughy's kits.

i have the h&r rear shackles. your ride quality is not affected and takes an hour to install at most. i was working the jack and trying to line bolt holes up myself so it was a lil long for the install. but the rear does still sit a little bit higher than the front just not as much.

I dropped the rear on mine 2" with the Ground Force shackle kit. Looks much better than stock. The rear is just slightly higher than the stock front. As someone said though, I think the Harley is already dropped a bit.
