What is the proper backspacing?

How much would I need with 33/12.50/16's on a 3 inch lift?

On the 97-03 F-150's you need a wheel with 4 1/2 or 4 5/8 inches of backspacing. Do you have a 4x2 or 4x4?

It's a 4x2. Just want to make sure there won't be any problems after I get everything together.

What type of lift are you installing? The reason I ask is that most suspension lifts for 4x2's increase your front track width a couple of inches. This makes 10 inch wide wheels stick way outside the wheelwells. Most 4x2's with suspension lifts that I have seen with 8 inch wide wheels have the front tires sticking out farther than the 10 inch wide wheels on my 4x4.

Personally, I'd go with a 8 inch wide wheel. The spindles will increase your front track width.

8" wide wheel with 4 1/2 inches back spacing? Would I run the same size rim front & rear? Just want to be clear.

Right. Most 16 and 17 inch wheels for our trucks have 4.5 or 4 5/8 inches of backspacing. Yes, you would use the same wheels front and rear.
