Questions about autospring kit

Hi,

I will be installing my 2" kit this weekend and have a few questions for those who have done the install.
1. How much of an emergency is the required alignment. I was thinking about going to my Bro in laws shop on Sat afternoon and doing the install. It is about an 30 mile trip home. plus any minor running around I might need to do before I could get it to the alignment shop Monday morning.
2. The instructions say to raise one side then the other. Is this just assuming most home installers have a floor jack? I have an air frame jack that can lift the whole front end.
3. Is it necessary to completely remove the lower strut bolt or just loosen it?

OK Ill admit I dont have my instructions anymore and have been studying the online version with pics.

Idk about the alignment, the place i went didnt give me a read out of what all had to be adjusted. I know its just the toe in or something. when i did mine i left the strut bolted at the top and then i undid the upper ball joint nut, then popped that out, then i removed the lower strut bolt completely, then took off the top strut bolts. I used a wrench to lift the upper control arm and worked the strut out, bolted the AS on and slapped it all back together. i actuallly have it all apart to check things out and rotate tires, i can take a pic if you like.

1. You can ride it around without getting an alignment, but for an extended amount of time the tires will wear badly.

2. I did mine one side at a time but both at once will work.

3. Has to come out.

I did my 2" AS with just hand tools, not a big deal.

Hope this helps.

Thumbs up

Installed it today then spent the afternoon trying it out on the ranch where my bro-in-law works. Took us about 45min. Thats drinking a quick cold one between sides. Jacked up the whole front and assembly lined it. We drove through some steep washouts, across creeks and up soft sand hills. No issues at all.
