Question Steering Quit

I backed into a drive way, heard a pop, went to leave, and now the truck will not turn. Cheked for fluid leaks, checked for anything obvious. Truck wil start and I can move the wheel a litle bit but nothing happens. It is like the ignition lock is on but it isn't. This is on a 1997 F150 4X4
Please help.................

Will the TRUCK not drive, or will the steering not turn? Your question isn't very clear....

That'll definately do it!

Did the shaft walk out of the pump itself, or did it break?
