The angle supports are because the new design has an offset to it so it the UPA doesn't hit the coil.

Im sorry but this is killing me. So, you're saying that people have problems with spacers don't know anything but since you paid someone or you're telling others to have someone do the install, you know everything or whats best for them. Im sorry but Im not going to believe it. Im almost positive Fabtech doesn't make an add-a-leaf for these trucks, yet. I had a spacer on my last truck, I used it offroad, and by 20,000 miles my ball joints were ruined! Its your money, but thats just my experience.

Just had the Autospring installed on my 04 SCAB a couple of days ago. I was hesitant about getting it done too. Ok, I was actually pretty scared, but I went for it. I love the way my truck looks now and cannot tell any difference in the way it handles or drives. It is a little more difficult to see curbs and lines when trying to park

Im about to go into college and ill be doing alot of driving between Lubbock and Amarillo (TX). I had read somewere someone had trouble with the ball joints and severe angles??? Yall can tell me if this is a repost and whatnot, ill take no offense to it. Thanks, Matt

Sounds good guys, after much debate yall have convinced me to put it on! I also think im goin to add a skyjacker 1.5" add-a-leaf in the rear. As for Texas Tech, ive loved that place forever!! im pumped about heading there, partying, and the money that starts to come in after you get that degree!! thanks to everyone!!

Did you have to replace your LCA befor you did your lift then? or did you just run them?

Its not soo bad. the people i have talked too that go there, or have gone there say that your car/truck wont be much after your four years there cuase it will get sandblasted by the wind/dust storms, and get beat down in the sun. not to mention the incliment weather, hail, etc. .they have these parkin garages now but they are so inconvenient its not really worth it. other than the "dust" and what not idk how anyone could hate tech, but im a die hard fan/student!

and yes the girls are smokin hott, and the parties are never ending!!

NEW

I believe the old style supports are straight up and down.

I have had my 2.5" autospring leveling kit on for a couple of days now and I couldn't be happier with the appearance and ride quality. So far it is the best mod made to my truck and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

i have that same 2.5 rizer i bought if off ebay.......... lol same exact one .......was 89$ i think ...... but ya i need to get it installed

Not kidding, man. If you're like me, you like to park on the edge of the parking lot next to the curb? That way you can park close to the curb and allow more room between your truck and parked cars...perhaps saving your doors from getting dinged. Anyway, it seems to me more difficult to see how close I am to the curb (or the line if I can find a parking space next to the curb).

Dude I never try and park close to the store. I always drop my GF off at the door and park far away. Easier to just pull in and take to spaces. I drive a truck iwth 8.5 inches of lift its IMPOSSIBLE to pull into a regular space. Actually its not the pulling in but the backing out that is hard and takes to much time.

Im sure it did, but others reported bad ball joints at around 30,000 miles with no offroading and a spacer.

Nope, I just ran them. Im sure you remember all of my problems with my truck. I wasn't going to spend the money on it since I was going to trade it in anyways.

Holy 4 year old thread resurrection! Most members here will recommend not exceeding the 2.5" with spacers and erring on the side of caution, I will as well. I have had the AS 2.5" on running 35's for over 2 yeas with no problems thus far. Just my opinion though.
