Well today i went and got my tires put on my truck at Tuffy where my friend works. well once he got them on he wiggled the tire which is common practice and he said they felt really loose... well scott another guy was under the truck when my friend James was doing that and the inner tie rod fell out...... well the other side did the same thing... very scarey.. i have put about 2 thousand miles on the truck and never noticed anything.. So check your tie rods people.. the truck has just over 100,000 and i figured they would last a lil longer but i am glad he found it

 

That sux, but you are very lucky they found it.

 

Mine popped while going down the street. Good thing because the day before I was doing 70+ mph on the freeway. I do look, turn shake grab and make sure those f %#&'n things are good, at least on the passenger side, driver's side has 2 new Moogs that are great.

Old news. There was a TSB published on this issue about two and a half years ago. Notice was sent out to all registered owners at that time, and the info should have been presented to you when you purchased this one. Common problem, and the solution is to simply inspect it every oil change.

Well i didn't know about this common problem or i would have it fixed. I have a few people at work that have about the same on their truck and never got a notice i wouldn't think that the inner would just fall off like that but it's all done and over with now
