Front shocks on a 2004

I have a2004 new body super cab. My shocks have started to go away. Has anyone replaced the stock coil-over shocks? I don’t mean with a lift kit, just off the shelf replacements. I have 54k on it. They look like it is a real pain. Any help? Pictures or a tech pub.

A few members here have replaced their OEM shocks with Bilstiens. Rancho also makes a replacement.

Front shocks on a 2004

Thanks for the info; I have been reading other posts. I just have a plain old 4x2 truck. I guess what I'm after is, where can I get a repair manual for a 2004 truck? I checked with Haynes (they have lots of pictures and are easy to follow) but I could not locate one. Chilton where do you begin with them! I want to do the job myself. I have replaced McPherson struts before and these have a different name (coil-over) but look the same. I know I will need a spring compressor. I would like step by step instructions and torque specks.
