Question Need another Half Inch

Hello All, Newbie here. Like to start by saying hey everyone.
I have read alot of useful info here. So i joined up .
First let me say its my luck I got one of the 2005's with vibration problems. Its in the shop as I write this. I returend it to stock till they can get the vibration resolved accept the intake.I saw that alot of guys where clearing 35"
tires with the 2.5 daystar lvl kit so i threw one on there thinking I wouldnt have any trouble clearing a 33" tire on some 20x10 951 moto metals with i believe 4.75 backspaceing. I was wrong . I also installed helper springs on the back since i do alot of towing.Which gave about one inch of lift on the back making for what I think is a tough looking stance. Woundering if any there was any other way besides the torsion bars that i can pick up about a half inch on the front. Any advice would be appreciated even if its telling me to get off my wallet and go with a 6" lift LOL.

If you only need a 1/2 inch then just crank the torsions.

Guess SO
Ive heard that that makes for some loud poping when hitting good size bumps. Any truth in that?

None what-so-ever. If you hear a poping noise check pitman/idler arms.

Cranking the t-bars would be a good idea, if you had them. The 2005's dont have torsion bars, they have a coil-over suspension.
I dont know why you wouldnt be able to fit a 33" tire WITH the leveling kit...where is it rubbing? You should be able to fit a 33" with the stock suspension, maybe with some slight rubbing (at full turn) since you have wider wheels. Although, it is sounding like you have a 4x2, which might explain things...

In any case, you could always just go with a body lift...alot cheaper than a suspension lift, and it should give you the clearance you need.

Good point Johngs I wasn't even thinking about that. I got so caught up in wondering why he was against cranking the torsions a half inch I forgot I was talking about a 05.

His fitment problems are because of the 10 inch wide wheels with 4.75 inches of backspacing. I'd suggest a body lift or a different wheel that is slightly narrower or has a lot more backspacing.

Ditto. Also, there's no idler arm or pitman arm to check on a rack and pinion steering either....

Thought it was because of the 10w 4.75 backspacing. Not going to get rid of the wheels though they look tough as H@!!.Guess im just going to have to go bigger

If I were you I would go with a Body lift. That would be your cheapest option to clear your new wheels and tires.
