3" body or suspension

want either a 3" body or suspension lift. which one is better? wouldn't mind saving some money. And if were to get a body lift or suspension lift, what's with the leveling kits, do you really need a leveling kit with either lift??

the suspension lift would be the best. bodylifts are cheaper if you install them yourself. if you try and get a shop to do it your are looking at 500-900. a leveling kit has nothing to do with a bodylift. if you get a suspension lift the kit should level the truck. a leveling kit can be added to both but its not required. i see that you have a 4wd so the smallest suspension lift you can made is a rancho 4" next is 6" fabtech, rcd, or procomp lift. if you have anymore ?s just ask.

Yeah thanks for the info...I have had a huge range of prices given to me for suspension lifts. Could you give a standard price for one of the suspension lifts you suggested?
Thanks again

Hi patriot

Hey patriot, to give you an idea how it looks with the procomp lift. Also, you are definitly better of to get a suspension lift if you want to go off-road.

The total price including install for my truck $6,000

Warn winch 9.5 xp
Transformer kit
Rims
BFG AT
6" Procomp
+install

You don't need a leveling kit because the front ride height of your truck is adjustable with the torsion bars. As for suspension lifts, go to 4Wheel Parts website and look at their prices to get a general idea. The two best lifts for our trucks are probably the 6 inch Fabtech and 5 inch RCD lifts, but there is nothing wrong with the other lifts made by Pro Comp, Rancho, etc.

Hey Patriottruck,

I just had my truck lifted with the Fabtech 6" lift and new rims and tires. My bill was $4800 total - including installation and alignment. Just thought I would let you know what I paid. I will be posting before and after shots as soon as I can get some free time to do so.

3" body lift

I was wondering if anybody had any pictures of an F-150 with just a 3" body lift. I am planning on putting a 3" body lift on my F-150 and i was also wondering what kind of tires i should try and put on.
