rear shocks

i have a quick ?. when i went to get my new tires on my mechanic said my rear shocks are leaking. i forgot to ask him if i can buy aftermarket shocks like rancho or any other without haveing to buy anything else. i just need shocks and i wasnt sure if i can use aftermarket shocks with stock setup. my mechanic went on vaca for 2 weeks. thanks for the help. i would like to buy the shocks soon. thanks for any help. ps i have a 98 F150 4X4.

yes if u buy them for ur make and model they will bolt right in.. rancho boots are a pain in the asssss to get on haha well for me anyways.. but we put them in all the time at work.. any after market shock will fit if its specs are to your truck

It's a pretty easy repair. I just put in some monroe 'reflex' shocks, all I needed were some 18mm wrenches and some muscle to get them out, first shock took an hour, the second was replaced in 15 minutes. No extra accessories required!
