Rancho lift pics.

After doing some searches on this forum, I have determined 1) most Ford truck owners choose suspension lifts over body lifts 2) most Ford owners on this forum prefer Rancho lift kits over Fabtech (although all agreed that they are both great kits). I am going to go with the Rancho kit, but the one thing that still confuses me, is the actual height that im going to get. On this forum, I have read that i will get less than 4" if I have my torsion bars cranked. On this same forum I read that I will get more than 4" (assuming my torsion bars aren't "cranked"). My questions are should my torosion bars be "cranked", how much height will I gain with the Rancho 4" kit if my truck has never been modified, and can someone post a picture of their truck with the Rancho lift? I have searched this forum for lift pics, and only got alot of great rim pics. Also, can you tell me what size tires you are using on your pics, im not sure if I should go with 35 or something larger. Thanks in advance for helping a truck newb out.

If you're going to spend the money for a lift kit, might as well get a 6" lift. I'd go with the Fabtech 6" if I were you.

I would get the 6"

Fabtech is a great product. Plus, the real cost in getting a lift kit is the labor to put it on. If your going to pay a shop labor, you might as well get the 6" kit versus the 4" kit IMO.

I would say you've got it backwards. Just about everyone on this forum that has a suspension lift has the Fabtech lift.

Rancho is doing good on alot of the newer F150s though, its pretty much a toss up between Fabtech and Rancho from what I have seen.

A 35" tire would be a good choice for either lift.

Thanks for all the replies. I would much rather have 6" than a mere 4" myself. The reason for me saying that most guys here prefer Rancho was because of this thread entitled: " Any Negatives On The Fabtech Kit??". Before I buy my Fabtech kit, I just wanted to clear some of these posts with you guys first.

"Fabtech widens your front stance by 1 inch on each side and the front is higher than the rear(like a pre-runner) Also with the fabtech, the driveshaft needs to be rebalanced. if you can live with that then the Fabtech along with the Rancho are considered by many to be two of THE BEST and more expensive lifts for the newr F150's."

"No, they [cv shaft on a Fabtech lift] are at more of an angle than the Rancho. Allowing the Rancho to use a bigger leveling kit ontop of the suspension lift without problems. Basically, IMO you could squeeze more 'safe/reliable' lift out of the Rancho. They are both GREAT lifts, just flip a coin."

Is it true that Rancho offers a more safe/reliable kit? Would I still have to worry about the cv shaft and the driveshaft with the Rancho lift kit? Thanks again for the help.

Get whichever one you can get installed cheaper, or whichever one you like the colors of better, or something :P

They are both safe and reliable lift kits.
